Plumber House

So on my last weekday before I go back work we went as a family to take some pictures at the Plumber House here in Rochester. There was a wedding party taking pictures so we didn't get to go down by the gardens or the house to much but it was beautiful. I also downloaded a trial of a new editing program that I LOVE!!!! So here are a couple of the pictures that I have edited so far.

Just hanging out....

I have been taking pictures of us just hanging out around the house and really like a couple of them. I am really loving capturing the girls doing different things and different stages. Gray has started to become more of a ham around the camera and not so shy. Which is perfect for me.

Back to work...

So I offically have less then one week left of maternity leave. I am not ready to go back to work yet. With Gray I was more then ready but for some reason I am dreading it this time. I know once I get back in the swing of things I will be fine but I am just not ready to leave the girls and not be with them for over 40 hours per week. I just we just need to win the lottery (mom you need to do this since we don't play the lottery) and I can retire and be with them :o)

Piper's hips

We went today for Piper to get ultrasounds on her hips. Both of her hips click due to her being breach. She was a wiggling and moving around but they were able to get the pictures they needed and let me know that everything looked good. She will not need to be in braces or have any other follow up in regards to them. Great news!!

Gray's new toy

We went to our friend's daughter birthday party and we recieved a PowerWheels four wheeler and when Richard put Gray on it for the first time he said she had to have one. She was driving it around their house and Richard stood behind her and laughed for a good 20 minutes at her. So the following day we went to buy one and she loves it. We drive it around the yard and over to the neighbors house. I hope Piper likes it as much when she is old enough to drive it.

Fun in the sun

We went to the beach for the first time ever with the girls. I packed a picinic lunch and loaded up the car and off we went. We went to a local beach/wildlife conservation area and the water was freezing. I am sure it was so cold due to the crappy summer we have been having but we enjoyed our time with the girls and our toes in the sand (well Richard and I did. Gray did not enjoy the sand as much as I hoped she would). Piper slept and looked adorable in her little hat. We only stayed about an hour and a half but it was a good hour and a half.

Zoo time

We went to the zoo for the first time as a family. We brought our mom's and had a good time and the weather was beautiful. I don't think Gray really understood the concept of the zoo but I love doing family outings and want to continue them for the rest of our lives (or till the refuse to go out with mom and dad).

Piper

Piper Davis is our little red headed bundle of sassiness. She is calm, content and a great addition to our family. I was terrifed to have a one year old and a newborn at home but have been surprised by how I have handled both of them. I am adjusting well and so are the girls. Richard is an amazing father and I couldn't ask for a better support system/husband.
We have learned that she is more like her sister then we thought. She is lactose intolerant and has acid reflux. Her reflux is worse then what Gray's was so she is on some meds to help. Her fussiness has been better since the switch so that lets me know that the right choice was made with the formula and meds.

Gray is a really good big sister to Piper. She gives her the binkie when she is crying and swings her when she is in the swing and kisses her before bed. I have had my camera out and in full force so here are some new pictures.

Going to try to be better at this...

Alright I am going to try and be better at posting and putting pictures up of the girls. So here I go :o)

First thing first, Gray's birthday.

I can't believe that it has been a year since my little girl was born. We waited so long for her and wanted her with every fiber of our being. We were blessed with a strong willed, hard headed, lovable, loyal beautiful baby girl. She has so much personality and loves with everything she has.

Gray on her actual birthday

We had a party for her with our family and made it a Luau Theme. We had grass skirts and leis. Gray wore a grass skirt and coconut bra and was adorable as ever.

We love our first born and can't wait to see her grow and come into her own.
